Spielbeschreibung

Foray in the Forest is a Commander Keen fangame that takes place between Episodes IV and V. The game is built upon an enhanced engine that allows to introduce numerous new features while keeping the core gameplay similar to the original second trilogy by id Software.

Commander Keen investigates a forest planet after receiving a call for help from the natives. You run, jump and use your pogo stick to explore the levels, and defend yourself against hostile creatures using Keen's Neural Stunner. New features include mid-level checkpoints, save/load system, ammo refill machines and unlockable goodies that can be found in the Bean & Bacon Megarocket. The default art style is similar to, but not identical to that of the original Keen games, with the main character looking slightly different.

Foray in the Forest was released as freeware, and the source code is available under the GNU GPL license.
