Spielbeschreibung

Der Planer is a business simulation game with some adventure elements where you take charge of a logistics company. The player has an alter ego moving around the game in real time, with action mostly centred around the company's office, but also involves going on business trips and managing outside relations with customers, rivals, banks, etc.

The adventure element addresses more personal aspects of the player character's life. Depicted as an enterprising young man with both family aspirations and career ambitions, you can pursue the improvement of your alter ego's quality of life, buy luxury items, etc.

Because of the multitude of features, the game might seem overwhelming, but it was also criticised by reviewers for repetitive, monotonous gameplay with little variation.

Der Planer was originally sold commercially, but in 2001 developer Greenwood Entertainment made the full game and its add-on, Der Planer: Extra, available as freely distributable downloads. Note that this version was intended to be run under Windows 95/98 and will likely not work in DOSBox without tweaking.

This game is also only available in German, and a good knowledge of the language is necessary to make any progress.
