Spielbeschreibung

This is a Manic Miner fangame with a nonsensical plot and, for some reason, deceptively juvenile bathroom humour, however it has rather unforgiving trial-and-error gameplay and is probably harder than the original Manic Miner or Jet Set Willy.

As in the original Manic Miner games, you need to collect all shiny items on the screen and reach the exit before the air meter expires. Contact with any monsters and some of the static items/tiles is lethal, and the player only starts with two extra lives. The key to winning is correct timing to safely navigate around all obstacles.

Eugene was developed for a ZX Spectrum, but a native DOS/PC version also exists, which is somewhat rare for Manic Miner fangames. Bathroom humour aside, this game is probably a good example of what Manic Miner fans considered a fair challenge.
