This is an updated version of Sopwith by the original author, David L. Clark, released under the GNU GPL license along with the source code.

All proprietary network code related to BMB Compuscience's Imaginet network system has been removed. This version also adds an easier novice mode and a new two-player network mode. All other features from earlier versions of Sopwith have been preserved. The game is also optimised to work properly on faster machines than those that were available back in 1984.

In short, this is the definitive version of Sopwith to play.
