Spielbeschreibung
3D CyberPuck (also known as simply Cyber Puck) is a futuristic first-person sports game made with the 2.5D engine licensed from Pie in the Sky Software (the same engine that is used by the 3D Game Creation System).
The player controls a hovercraft in a small arena, with one similarly-equipped AI opponent, and there is a "puck" that you need to catch and send right into the opponent's goal. Score five points and it's a win! If the opponent has the puck, you need to wrest it from them by getting close and "punching" the enemy hovercraft until the puck is dropped.
After winning a match, the player can spend the currency earned by scoring points in a shop to purchase upgrades and gadgets that provide various advantages during matches. Each arena has its own peculiarities and obstacles, adding a surprise factor to the game.
There are several difficulty levels available. Even on Normal, the AI player is quite efficient at catching the puck and sending it towards your goal, so be careful and do not go into the arena unprepared! The right equipment can really tilt the scales in your favour.
3D CyberPuck was originally sold as shareware, with just a limited number of levels in the unregistered version. Author Peter Hinz generously declared the full game freeware.
