Spielbeschreibung

Secret Legacy of the Ancient Caves is a "rogue-lite" graphical roguelike where the player character is an adventurer who bravely explores dungeons filled with monsters. There are any items and treasure to be found, and even more monsters to be fought. Should the adventurer perish, the player may continue the game as a different character that "inherits" the quest and gets certain bonuses.

The game features all the core elements of the roguelike genre, including procedurally generated dungeons and monster encounters, randomly cursed or blessed items, magical scrolls and potions. However, here you do not need to worry about your character starving, nor does the game overwhelm the player with dozens of different items, effects, spells, deities and so on, so the whole game is closer to the traditional Rogue with some elements from Moria.

Although the development continues, SLAC is a fully-featured game that can be played from start to finish. There are three multi-level dungeons, seven bosses and 200 regular enemies. The game's source code is also available. Everything is licensed under the MIT license.
