The monsters will most likely move too fast even on lowest DOSBox settings, so press S repeatedly to lower the game speed. The speed settings will be saved if you save and load your game, but will reset if you start a new game. Note that when playing in browser, no saved games will be preserved after you close the current browser tab or window.
